A Stand up Paddle Board Wedding Surprise

"Thank you for working with David and coordinating what was the most wonderful special surprise I have ever had. (And that's saying something because David surprises me all the time!) Thank you times a million. I will never ever forget that day."

These two Stand Up Paddled up to Glorietta Bay beach on Coronado 02/22/14 for a surprise wedding for Tatum (bride). They have been together 5 years, he is a Navy seal and they were leaving for Virginia Beach the next morning. The day before was her birthday, they had a thing about "ocean cup cakes" and David told her the next time he gave her one, he was going to marry her.

When they got off their SUP's to met friends on the beach, they had two boxes of "ocean cupcakes" waiting for Tatum and David, with the dress, flowers and his shirt in their friends car. I was over at another table watching this unfold as David and I had met a month before at the Maritime Museum to engineer this meeting and surprise wedding and complete their marriage license without her knowledge.

As you can see it was a total and complete surprise for Tatum, as I walked up in my Aloha Shirt and asked them what was going on, was it a cup cake party? David said he had just proposed to her and it would be real nice if we could get married today. Well, I said I could probably help them, opened my bag, had their marriage license, ceremony and with their friends and two twin daughters as "flower girls", we had a beautiful bay side wedding.
